South Africa’s Road Traffic Management Corporation has issued a strong warning, stating its firm stance on apprehending corrupt traffic officers as well as motorists involved in bribery. Recent operations conducted nationwide have led to the arrest of eight officers in Newcastle and seven in Johannesburg within a week, resulting in criminal charges. Makhosini Msibi, the CEO of the agency, emphasizes that drivers involved in these unlawful activities will face consequences. Msibi further asserts the RTMC’s dedication to eliminating corruption in traffic enforcement.
