A 34-year-old man is set to face charges in the Karasburg Magistrate’s Court after being apprehended with suspected stolen goods. According to Deputy Commissioner Nikodemus Mbango, crime investigations coordinator for the ||Kharas Region, the arrest took place in the Westerkim residential area of Karasburg on Sunday, between 12 midday and 2pm, following an intelligence-driven operation involving serious crime detectives, special reserve force members, and police intelligence personnel. The suspect was found in possession of items believed to be stolen during housebreakings earlier this year in Aussenkehr, Karasburg, and Ariamsvlei.
