German Chancellor calls for peace talks with Russia

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has called for renewed peace talks to settle the conflict in Ukraine, saying the next round of discussions should include representatives from Russia. Trent Murray reports.

Euronews reports that some members of his Social Democratic Party have also called for more emphasis on diplomacy toward Russia. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said he’s thankful for the support he received at the Ukraine Defence Contact Group meeting in Ramstein on Friday.
