As conflict intensifies in Lebanon following Hamas-led attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023, many migrant domestic workers, especially those from Africa, are struggling to find safety reports Duetsche Welle. Abandoned by their employers, these workers face difficulty accessing emergency shelters in a rapidly worsening conflict zone. While the Lebanese government estimates over 1.2 million nationals have been displaced, no reliable data exists on how many foreign workers are affected by the ongoing crisis.
