India has labeled a Canadian media report ‘ludicrous’ after it alleged Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in the know about plans to allegedly assassinate a Sikh separatist leader in Canada. Bilateral ties hit a new low earlier in the year, after Ottawa claimed Modi’s right hand man and Home Minister Amit Shah was behind a campaign that targeted Sikh separatists on Canadian soil.
