The Kunene police are actively searching for two trial-awaiting inmates who escaped from the Opuwo holding cells on 26 December last year. Namibian Police inspector for Kunene community affairs, Vehangaiza Hindjou, revealed that Simon Ngejama, who’s 16, from Opuwo and an unnamed inmate from Epoko village in the Omusati region escaped by cutting through the roof. The fugitives face charges, including housebreaking and driving with a forged driver’s licence.
