South Africa’s GOOD Party says Solidarity and AfriForum’s decision to institute legal proceedings against the promulgation of the Basic Education Laws Amendment, lacks credibility and substance. The groups argue that the Act violates previous agreements and disregards critical recommendations by minister of Basic Education Siviwe Gwarube, particularly on language and admissions policies. GOOD Party’s Secretary-General, Brett Herron, says Solidarity and AfriForum seem adamant about defending some imaginary attack on Afrikaans-speaking children from cultural integration:
