Reports indicate that two Namibian asylum seekers, Frans Epentrius who is 29 and 33 year-old Tobias Iileka, attempted to steal designer handbags at Bluewater shopping centre in Greenhithe, United Kingdom. These further says the duo, awaiting the processing of their asylum claims by the UK Home Office, targeted the John Lewis store on 23 December. Using wire cutters, Iileka aided Epentrius, who attempted to hide a £550 (N$11,417) Coach handbag in a paper bag. However, Epentrius, noticing a staff member watching him, returned the handbag to a different shelf before the pair was confronted by store staff and the police were called.
