Namib Desert Diamonds head office, Windhoek

Presidential Economic Advisor James Mnyupe says that he does not believe the robbery at Namib Desert Diamonds will have a significant impact on the economy.

He said the incident shows the value of Namibia’s commodities, such as diamonds, which are highly sought after globally. Mnyupe called for improvements in security concerns within the industry.
