Namibia Water Corporation has reported significant inflows into key central dams—Swakoppoort, Von Bach, and Omatako—following recent rainfall, boosting water security for the Central Area. Spokesman Lot Ndamanhomhata, indicated that as of yesterday, Swakoppoort Dam rose to 24.5%, Von Bach Dam to 24.8%, and Omatako Dam to 5.3%, with Omatako experiencing the largest increase of 1.351 Mm³, more than doubling its volume. These positive developments are vital for sustaining water supply in the region. NamWater continues to monitor dam levels and emphasizes the importance of ongoing water conservation efforts.
