LPM member and City of Windhoek Councilor Ivan Skrywer has called for an independent investigation into the Namdia robbery, criticizing the police and security agencies for their handling of the case. He questioned why neither the Police or Namdia have held press conferences, pointing out conflicting reports about the suspects and a lack of transparency. Skrywer also cited former Inspector General Ret. Gen. Sebastian Ndeitunga’s claims that government officials may be colluding with criminals. He urged the government to break its silence and called for an external commission to investigate, emphasizing that the theft of resources and loss of lives must not be ignored.
