Trump administration relists Cuba as a sponsor of terrorism

US President Donald Trump’s administration reversed the Biden administration’s decision to remove Cuba from the blacklist as a State Sponsor of Terrorism (SST).

The Cuban ambassador to Namibia, Sergio Vigoa de la Uz, says Cuba was prepared for the possibility that Trump might unilaterally reverse Biden’s decision and are ready to deal with it.

Speaking at the EU and member states media dialogue in Windhoek yesterday, Vigoa de la Uz said the SST list does not faze Cuba but recognises that it has damaging effects on Cuba’s economy and global reputation.
