December 2024 wrapped up on a positive note for Namibia’s automotive sector, with local vehicle sales reaching 1,100 units. This represents an impressive 30.8% year-on-year increase from the 841 vehicles sold in December 2023.

The market also demonstrated stability, with a slight 0.6% month-on-month rise from November 2024, showing consistent demand despite the seasonal fluctuations typically seen at year-end. Simonis and Storm economist Almandro Jansen provides further insight into these figures.
