The Ongwediva Town Council through the Local Economic Development and Tourism Division has taken the initiative to empower the business community by offering them free bookkeeping and marketing courses.

The two day training session which started today will end tomorrow at the Ongwediva Trade Fair Centre.

The town council spokesperson Ottilie Shingenge said the training is intended for upcoming businesspeople as well as for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) within the town’s boundaries.

Shingenge added that the program was established to empower the community with the necessary skills and knowledge to enhance and boost their businesses.

Participants are offered business skills training at no cost by the Council with the aim to enhance their business strategies and stay competitive in a constant resolving business landscape.
