WINDHOEK – The Ministry of Works and Transport, in collaboration with the Roads Authority, has announced the successful completion and official opening of the newly constructed two-lane bypass road between Windhoek and Rehoboth along the B1 highway.

The bypass, designed to ease traffic flow and improve road safety between the two towns and southern Namibia, is now fully operational. The Roads Authority expressed gratitude to the public, particularly the affected communities and road users, for their patience and cooperation during the construction period. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously as they adjust to the new road layout and to observe all traffic signs and speed limits.

The bypass was constructed under the supervision of the Roads Authority, with engineering consultancy provided by Lithon Namibia and construction carried out by China Railway Seventh Group.
