Ongwediva completes billion dollar electrification project

The Ongwediva Town Council has handed over a N$ 4,1 billion Electrification Project to the residents of the Sky Phase 3 informal settlement. The town’s spokesperson, Jackson Muma says the Project began in August 2023.

Dina Namubes re-elected as mayor of Swakopmund

Dina Namubes of the Independent Patriot for Change and United Democratic Front’s David Am-!gabeb have been re-elected as Swakopmund’s Mayor and Deputy Mayor. According to the Namibia Press Agency, the elections follow the postponement of another election held on 30 November, which resulted in a tie between Namubes and Matthias Henrichsen of the Swakopmund Resident’s Association.

Eenhana Town Council introduces debt relief programme

The Eenhana Town Council plans to write off all interest on debt owed by residents for services rendered to them. Town mayor, Omri-Onn Kavandje, revealed this to Nampa on Monday, saying that to date, residents owe about N.dollars 40.2 million. Otjiwarongo local authority council re-elects office bearers

The Otjiwarongo Municipality’s local authority council on Tuesday re-elected its office bearers to their respective positions. Mayor Gottlieb Shivute successfully retained his position after being nominated and seconded by fellow councillors. No informal settlements in Tsandi
