Relief for motorists as the Ministry of Mines and Energy announces fuel reduction

The Ministry of Mines and Energy has announced that petrol prices will decrease by 80 cents per litre,  diesel with 50ppm will decrease by 60 cents per litre and diesel 10ppm will decrease by 70 cents per litre. UN says Gaza conflict violates humanitarian law

More than 30,000 people have been killed in Gaza since Israel’s war with Hamas began in October, the country’s health ministry said Thursday adding that around 70% of the casualties are women and children. Meanwhile, the UN’s top human rights official, Volker Türk said all parties to the Gaza conflict have been responsible for “clear violations of international humanitarian law including possible war crimes”.

Senate votes against call for human rights report on Israel-Gaza conflict

The US Senate has rejected a resolution that would have required the State Department to report on human rights violations that possibly occurred, using American equipment in Israel’s war in Gaza. The resolution, which was rejected by 72 votes to eleven, was led by progressive independent Bernie Sanders who said that it was to limit the war’s devastation.
