Okandjoze Chiefs Reject Namibia-Germany Genocide Declaration

  The Okandjoze Chiefs Assembly has rejected the joint declaration between Namibia and Germany regarding the 1904-1908 Ovaherero/Nama genocide. According to eports, they have called for a national conference involving descendants of the victims and affected communities. Speaking at the 121st Remembrance Day commemoration at UN Plaza in Windhoek on Sunday, Benestus Kandundu stated that chiefs from all 14 regions have distanced themselves from the agreement.
