Update On Military helicopter and regional jet mid-air collision in Washington

  Here an update on our 10am news story...A major search and rescue operation is underway in Washington DC after a military helicopter collided in mid-air with a commercial jetliner that was making its final approach to Ronald Reagan National Airport in the center of the city. A total of around 60 people are feared to have been on board the two aircraft. From Washington, Simon Marks reports.

Trump pardons 1500 participants in Jan 6th riots

  US President Donald Trump has pardoned around 1,500 people accused of criminal activity in the riots on Capitol Hill on January 6th 2021. They include figures convicted of seditious conspiracy and acts of violence as they attempted to halt the certification of Joe Biden's election victory.
