Western Cape Schools to Reopen Despite Weather Damage, Assures Education Department

The Western Cape Education Department has declared that schools across all education districts, including Cape Winelands and Overberg, will resume operations tomorrow. MEC David Maynier confirmed reports of damage in 144 schools caused by recent severe weather, varying from minor issues to significant damage. Contractors are currently assessing and repairing damages, with Maynier ensuring support for affected schools and prioritizing safety amidst the challenges.
