F1 drivers enjoyed Las Vegas despite early doubts

The Las Vegas Grand Prix, the first race in Las Vegas in 41 years, was, according to most drivers, a much better contest than they had anticipated before the actual event Mercedes’ driver Lewis Hamilton believes the action-packed Las Vegas Grand Prix showed that critics of the event were wrong to suggest it was all about show over substance. The seven-time world champion, who started the race tenth, fought back to finish seventh after an incident-filled 50 laps. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen won the race, a record-extending 18th win of the season for him. Hamilton says despite challenges with the car, he enjoyed racing in Vegas…
