Murder accused makes maiden court appearance at Keetmanshoop

A 24-year-old woman who was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly stabbing a 70-year-old man made her first court appearance in the Keetmanshoop Magistrate’s Court. The accused, Juventa Fredericks, made her appearance before magistrate Unchen Konjore, who postponed her case to 05 January 2024 for further police investigation and for the accused to acquire legal representation. State representative, Marlon Adams, opposed the granting of bail, citing that police investigating are at an early and sensitive stage and that the State fears that Fredericks will interfere with state witnesses that are known to her.
