List of Namibian delegates to Cop28 raises concerns

There has been huge outcry on social media following the publication of the provisional list of Namibia’s onsite participants at the COP28 Conference in Dubai. The 142-person list includes 4 members of the ‘First Family’, a student and a learner, a teacher and a lecturer, youth activists, and various assistants and personal assistants. One of those raising concern was Senior Research Associate at the Nordic Africa Institute in Sweden, Prof Dr Henning Melber, who says Namibia could be one of the most overrepresented countries at the event.
