On Saturday, 2 December, Nedbank Namibia held the very first Nedbank Youth Summit. Hosted under the theme, “Bridging the Gap”, the aim of the event was to link young entrepreneurs with financial information as well as products and services which can benefit and help propel businesses within the youth segment.
The purpose of the Nedbank Youth Summit is to uplift, develop, and unlock the potential of young Namibian entrepreneurs.
The event was designed to be an exchange of information and experiences and saw several young Namibian entrepreneurs take on the stage to discuss some of their experiences as young entrepreneurs in the different panel discussions. The discussions included topics that covered creative entrepreneurs, influencer marketing, technology development and other FinTech opportunities. Some of the speakers included CJ the connect, Beatrice Masilingi, Maria Nepambe and Hage Mukwendje.
As part of the summit young entrepreneurs were also giving the opportunity to showcase their businesses to the attendees.
Nedbank Head of SME (Small Medium Enterprises) BankinAg, Sam Ikela; Head of Private Banking, Rosy Eixas; as well as the Central and Coastal Regional Manager, Nicolas Christians provided attendees with integral financial information, products and services geared towards young entrepreneurs.
