Well-known businessman in the southern town of Keetmanshoop allegedly shot two men in self-defence

The Namibian Police Force in Keetmanshoop said they will wait for the prosecutor general’s decision on whether to prosecute a well-known businessman in the southern town after he allegedly shot two men in self-defence on Saturday. NamPol crime investigations coordinator for ||Kharas, Deputy Commissioner, Nikodemus Mbango says the alleged shooting incident took place at a local sheebeen, which belongs to the businessman in the Tseiblaagte residential area. Mbango said the businessman is facing two charges of attempted murder after he reportedly shot 27-year-old Jamie Afrikaner in the neck and 31-year-old Tangeni Alweendo in the left leg.
