In an update to yesterday’s story: the standoff between the ANC and events company Ezulweni Investments has heightened after they gave the ruling party until Wednesday to pay the R102 million or face liquidation. While Ezulweni’s attorney, told News 24 that, should the ruling party fail to do so, they would institute liquidation proceedings, the ANC remains dead set on not repaying the money, pending the outcome of an appeal to the Constitutional Court. If the ANC was liquidated, it would not be able to contest elections.
