A Texas prosecutor has dropped charges against 17 Austin police officers who allegedly used excessive force during racial justice protests in 2020 – following the murder of George Floyd. Travis County District Attorney Jose Garza is asking the Department of Justice of investigation instead. At least two people – including a teenager – were critically injured during the protests – after police fired bean bag rounds into the crowd. Toni Waterman has more.
