Opuwo Mayor Rosa Mbinge-Tjeundo has commended some Opuwo senior citizens for their unwavering commitment to paying their monthly water bills, rates and taxes. Mbinge-Tjeundo was speaking during the council’s end-of-year pensioners’ ceremony on Wednesday, which was organised to honour elderly individuals for their presence in the community, and for their wisdom, and persistent dedication, all of which contribute greatly to the town. The mayor stated that pensioners’ responsible approach sets a good example for others to follow, promoting an atmosphere of civic responsibility that is critical for the town’s growth and development.
