Namibia is confronted with the need to allocate US dollars 15 billion for climate adaptation and mitigation efforts, as revealed by Alfredo Hengari, the press secretary in the Office of the President. Hengari made this statement during an information-sharing session on the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties and the conclusion of the year of revival. He underscored that the sixth report of the intergovernmental parliament on climate change identified Namibia as one of the Southern African nations significantly impacted by climate change. Specifically, it highlighted challenges related to agricultural production, posing a threat to food security within the country.
