Cryptocurrency suspects granted bail

In the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court, bail of N$20,000 was granted to each of the five individuals implicated in an alleged cryptocurrency scheme. Tango Muulyau and Carlos Alejandro are among those allegedly involved in a cryptocurrency scam, accused of recruiting young Namibians. They face charges alongside Fan Jia and Toivo Herman, whose bail applications were denied. The arrests of this group took place on 3rd October 2023 in Windhoek. Initially, over 80 Namibians were apprehended and accused of targeting foreign investors from various countries under the guise of legitimate investments.
