On Monday morning, President Hage Geingob underwent standard colonoscopy and gastroscopy tests at a local hospital, as confirmed by the Office of the Presidency. According to Alfredo Hengari, the presidential spokesperson, these procedures were part of the president’s routine annual medical checkup. “The procedure was a follow-up to his annual medical checkup,” Hengari stated. In light of the importance of early detection and preventive healthcare measures, President Geingob took the opportunity to encourage fellow Namibians to prioritize routine medical checkups.
