Angola remains a crucial sister nation to Namibia, emphasized Ohangwena Governor Sebastian Ndeitungu, who also encouraged maintaining amicable relations in the border regions with their northern neighbor. The former police chief stressed the importance of fostering strong ties with Angola not only for Ohangwena but for all of Namibia’s bordering regions. Ndeitungu emphasized the need for a close friendship that enhances trade, commerce, and political relationships, highlighting Angola’s historical role as a stronghold for the revolution in Southern Africa, contributing to the liberation of Namibia and neighboring countries, including South Africa.
