BREAKING NEWS: A dismembered unborn child was found in a waste container in the Tulinawa region of Swakopmund

Background

A dismembered unborn child was found in a waste container in the Tulinawa area of Swakopmund last Friday.The discovery was made by a passerby who was examining the contents of the container.

Erongo police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Anastasia Frans, shared in response to an inquiry from The Namibian that the fetus, believed to be approximately four to five months old, was discovered in an advanced state of decomposition. It was wrapped in a plastic bag obtained from a local store. The severed head of the fetus was also found within the same bag, Frans reported.

Frans indicated that the incident is being treated as a concealment of birth or potentially a murder case. No suspects have been apprehended at this point.
