Trump defamation trial underway in New York

Donald Trump is back in a Manhattan courthouse on Tuesday, this time for a defamation case. A federal jury will determine how much money the former US president must pay writer E. Jean Carroll for comments he made in 2019 denying he sexually assaulted her. Trump, who won by a landslide in the first Republican presidential contest in Iowa on Monday, denies any wrongdoing, accusing Carroll of lying. Sally Patterson has more.
