Namibia’s digital revolution is projected to cost approximately N$100 million over the next three years, according to Audrin Mathe, the Information Executive Director. Mathe emphasized the ongoing development of the digital strategy through consultations with end-users. The strategy is poised to guide Namibia’s path into the digital realm and aligns with the mission to establish a digital government by 2030. While Mathe acknowledged the premature nature of providing exact figures at this stage, he outlined a phased approach, seeking N$20 million in the upcoming fiscal year and a total of N$100 million over the next three years from the Ministry of Finance.
