Otjiwarongo’s Municipality revealed its newly acquired heavy machinery on Thursday, aimed at advancing road construction and maintenance in the town. Otjozondjupa Governor, James Uerikua, emphasized the necessity of this modern fleet for Otjiwarongo, an economic hub, given that the existing equipment is 60 years old. The fleet, valued at N$10.7 million, comprises a grader, roller compactor, front-end loader, and a 14,000-liter water tank truck. Uerikua highlighted the strategic importance of Otjiwarongo, with around 45,000 residents, emphasizing the critical need for quality roads to foster development and enhance service delivery.
