Tondoro Health Centre in Kavango West Hit by Flooding After Thunderstorm

The Tondoro Health Centre in the Kavango West Region faced flooding in the aftermath of a heavy thunderstorm on Wednesday. The Ministry of Health and Social Services’ Executive Director, Ben Nangombe, reassured in a statement on Thursday that there was no significant damage to medical equipment or clinical supplies. Nangombe attributed the flooding to rainwater originating from a water pool formed along a nearby gravel road, emphasizing the need for improved stormwater drainage. The ministry is collaborating with the Roads Authority to implement mitigatory measures at the health centre.
