The United Nations World Food Programme has made a significant contribution by donating a mobile storage unit to the Divundu Correctional Facility in the Kavango East Region. The move aims to enhance food storage capabilities, addressing a crucial need for the facility. WFP Country Director, Dr. George Fedha, highlighted in a joint media statement that the storage unit, boasting a combined capacity of 450 metric tonnes, will play a vital role in supporting the Divundu Correctional Facility. Recognized as one of the largest Namibia Correctional Services producing farms in the country, the facility will utilize the storage to store maize and wheat grains.
