Background

Simson Haulofu, NamPower’s Managing Director, faced criticism for retaining a Zimbabwean national in the utility’s Finance department. Haulofu and Martha Mbombo, the board chairlady, are alleged to have spent five years implementing a directive, yet at the term’s end, failed to identify a successor. Furthermore, they proudly announced their refusal to discuss employee matters in the media. Lazarus Kairabeb, representing the Landless People’s Movement, shared the following thoughts on the matter.
