On February 7th, Windhoek residents plan to convene at the City of Windhoek’s inquiry desk to inquire about the pledged “debt relief” announced as a Christmas gift in December. Their collective goal is to investigate the reasons behind the delays in receiving this holiday assistance and to address discrepancies in the information provided, particularly concerning pensioners who were advised to settle their accounts without anticipating debt write-offs. Shaun Gariseb, a member of the Katutura Residents Committee, shared additional details on the matter.
