NSA and FAO assess agriculture statistical system

The Namibia Statistics Agency and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, have conducted an Assessment Findings Workshop on the Strategic Plan for Agriculture and Rural Statistics in Namibia.  FAO country representative, Qingyun Diao, says the workshop will help with integrating the agriculture sector into the national statistical system. Since the inception workshop in July 2023, the NSA, in collaboration with FAO and the support of sub-sector experts, has conducted a thorough assessment of the agriculture statistical system, covering crop and livestock, forestry, environment and natural resources, and fisheries and aquaculture sub-sectors.
