SA’s Justice and Correctional Services Minister Ronald Lamola has pledged to take firm action in response to the recent attempt to forcibly enter Groblersdal Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo. Strongly condemning the display of the old South African flag, he emphasized that courts should not be venues for lawlessness. The bail hearing for farmer Piet Groenewald and his stepson, Stefan Greeff, has been rescheduled. Lamola, addressing the public outside the court, underscored that the gratuitous exhibition of the old flag constitutes a criminal offense. He reminded residents of the consequences associated with such actions.
