DA leader John Steenhuisen expresses satisfaction as the party, in collaboration with civil society partners, achieves an initial triumph in their ongoing opposition to the ANC’s Race Quotas Act. Steenhuisen notes that Employment and Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi has been compelled to release revised draft regulations for the implementation of the Employment Equity Amendment Act, commonly referred to as the Race Quotas Act, signed into law by President Cyril Ramaphosa last year. The development marks a notable step in the DA’s efforts to challenge and shape the implementation of the controversial legislation.
