A group of traditional leaders is scheduled to convene with former first lady Monica Geingos to discuss funeral arrangements for President Hage Geingob. Among the proposals on the table is a suggestion to observe a three-week mourning period for the late statesman. Confirmed by Chief Immanuel /Gaseb, leader of the !Oe-≠Gan Traditional Authority and chairperson of the Council of Traditional Leaders, the meeting in Windhoek will address funeral arrangements and involve discussions with the committee entrusted with coordinating Geingob’s funeral. Additionally, /Gaseb encourages young people to refrain from alcohol during this mourning period.
