Truck Driver Arrested for Culpable Homicide in Fatal Head-On Collision near Otjiwarongo

In a tragic incident outside Otjiwarongo on Wednesday morning, a 37-year-old truck driver has been apprehended on charges of culpable homicide following a head-on collision with a Volkswagen sedan. Namibian Police Force Otjozondjupa Regional Crime Investigations Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Edna Nawa, confirmed the arrest on Wednesday afternoon. The collision, which occurred on the B1 road south of Otjiwarongo, claimed the life of 25-year-old Francois Seibeb, the sole occupant of the sedan traveling from Otjiwarongo towards Okahandja. The mini-truck, driven by the arrested suspect, was heading in the opposite direction at the time of the fatal incident.
