Zambezi Region Governor, Lawrence Sampofu, has praised the late President of Namibia, Dr. Hage Geingob, as a giant, visionary leader, a people’s person, an adept manager, and a father. Geingob passed away at the Lady Pohamba Private Hospital in Windhoek after receiving medical treatment upon his return from the United States. Sampofu highlighted Geingob’s pivotal role as one of the founding pillars of Swapo, representing the party in the USA during its formation and later serving as the Director of the United Nations Institute for Namibia in Lusaka, Zambia, in 1976.
