Namibia’s Ambassador to the United States of America- Margaret Mensah-Williams, hosted a memorial service on Saturday to commemorate the legacy of the late President Hage Geingob, who passed away at the age of 82 in Windhoek last Sunday. During the ceremony in Washington DC, Mensah-Williams emphasized Geingob’s significant impact not only on Namibia but on the entire African continent. She highlighted his dedication to education, even leaving his home country in pursuit of knowledge that would later empower him to challenge and reform the system. Mensah-Williams praised Geingob as the chief architect of the Namibian constitution and a devoted servant to the nation.
