South African Ministers Engage with NGOs on Draft White Paper for Human Settlements

South Africa’s Minister of Human Settlements, Mmamoloko Kubayi, and Deputy Minister Pam Tshwete are set to lead a roundtable discussion with NGOs and Civil Society Organizations to discuss the Draft White Paper on Human Settlements. The Ministry’s spokesperson, Hlengiwe Nhlabathi-Mokota, underscores the paper’s goal of refining the department’s strategy for ensuring adequate housing by extending it to qualifying beneficiaries. She stated the importance of public input, with the deadline for comments set for February 28, 2024.
