Beware of Scams: Ministry Warns Against Fraudulent Youth Development Grant Applications

The Sport, Youth and National Service Ministry of issued a warning regarding scammers falsely soliciting online applications for a youth development grant for the year 2024/2025. Aina Shikesho, the ministry’s Chief Public Relations Officer, alerts the public, particularly young individuals, to exercise caution and avoid falling victim to deceptive schemes. Shikesho detailed the fraudulent practices, including enticing individuals to click on misleading links featuring an image of Minister Agnes Tjongarero. Additionally, she highlights another scam where scammers claim acceptance to the Frans Dimbare Youth Skills Training Centre in Divundu, Kavango East Region, and request banking details.
