US President Biden urges Congress to pass foreign aid bill as he attacks “un-American” Donald Trump

US President Joseph Biden has called Donald Trump “dumb, shameful and dangerous” for comments made about American allies. Former President Trump — who’s vying for the White House again — said he’d “encourage Russia to do whatever the hell it wants” if NATO countries in Europe didn’t spend enough on defence. Those remarks, and Biden’s response, come as lawmakers clash in Congress over a bill that would provide aid for Ukraine as well as Israel and Taiwan. In Washington, Benji Hyer reports.
